On candles. By Theresa@THMSCo Every evening when I get in the door from work, I have a ritual that has become very special to me. I take off my shoes and light up my favourite candle. Then I breathe in deep. It’s that moment when I switch off from the day and take in a loving, grateful breath. It’s my way of quietening all the thoughts that were running through my head. To become aware of where I am. Then I am ready to take on the evening with a new wave of energy and love. When you take a moment in the glow of a flickering flame, something beautiful happens. By taking in the soothing scent of a nature-infused candle, you begin to see the joy in your everyday. You fill your lungs and heart with air and peace. This is one of the most powerful ways to slow down and make your evening a time to feel fulfilled and connected. Now that’s a pretty magical way to draw an end to your day and welcome in the evening. How do you draw the line between your day’s work and your evening? Most people rush in the door without taking the time to mark the changeover from day to evening. Yet when they make this simple change in their life, the impact can be massive.
