February Watch List
A monthly update on what we're reading, watching and listening to, when we're not making soap that is.
READ
I Might Regret This: Essays, Drawings, Vulnerabilities, and Other Stuff by Abbi Jacobson - Have you watched Broadcity? The YouTube turned TV show is a funny, empowering and wonderfully warm look at female relationships and the role of feminism in the world. Abbi is one half of the epically talented duo behind Broadcity and she wrote this book while taking a road trip across the US. Trish has just started and loves it.
Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win by Jocko Willink - We all have the best intentions to do more, go to the gym, or other goal at the start of a new year. This book helps get some of that valuable time back in your life. Aimed at helping you become proactive, organised and disciplined.
WATCH
Fyre Festival - Deemed the best thing to never happen. This documentary looks at an embarrassing attempt to coordinate a festival for the mega rich. Grab that microwave popcorn, relax and watch in disbelief. Netflix and Hulu have covered it, watch one or both.
Russian Doll - Netflix - Groundhog Day is a perfect film. So somebody told us that Russian Doll was based on a Groundhog Day style premise, we jumped right in. It didn't disappoint, if we said anymore it would spoil it.
LISTEN
Missing Richard Simmons - On February 15, 2014 Richard Simmons didn’t show up to teach the exercise class he had led for 40 years. He hasn't been seen in public since, apparently. Filmmaker Dan Taberski starts investigating the disappearance of his friend. A binge worthy podcast!
