January Watch List
A monthly update on what we're reading, watching and listening to, when we're not making soap that is.
READ
This Will Only Hurt a Little by Busy Philipps - If you're an Instagrammer, you'll probably have come across Busy Philipps' stories. If you're a teenager of the nineties, you'll know Busy from her roles in Freaks and Geeks or Dawson's Creek. Either way, she's a treat. Trish is half way through and loving it.
A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway - It's a classic. I once read that Hunter S. Thompson used to type out A Farewell to Arms just to get the feeling of writing a classic. That's nice to think about while you're reading it.
WATCH
The Good Place - It's back! And the writers are taking the storyline in a wonderfully reflective, philosophically deep and pretty darn clever direction.
Brexit - HBO's take on Britain's decision to leave the EU, starring Benedict Cumberbatch is released this week and looks promising and interesting and we're looking forward to it.
LISTEN
Waking up with Sam Harris - Join Sam Harris—neuroscientist, philosopher, and best-selling author—as he explores some of the most important questions about the human mind, society, and current events. His recent interview with Derren Brown is incredibly interesting.
